Use your hotness (and single status) for a good cause! Metromix and One Love Generation are combining forces for a good cause...and a good time. On July 27, from 7 p.m.-midnight, we'll be at McFadden's auctioning off dates to benefit OLG...and we'd love for you, our hot, single New York friends, to be part of the show!
Want to participate? Here's what we're asking of the auctionees:
· Source an amazing date. Use your charm, good looks and contacts to put together a great date package that someone would love to bid on (value $150+). Dinner and a show, sporting/concert event, zip lining, tickets to the gun show - whatever you and your date would enjoy doing that will help raise money. If you get stuck, just let us know and we will help! Insider tip - chicks do great when their dates are paired with interesting dates geared toward guys (i.e. a day with a golf pro). On the flipside, guys sell great when paired with dates geared toward chicks (i.e. a day at the spa).
· Provide basic information in advance. Send 2-4 horizontal, hi-res photos (that means long ways, minimum of 100kb in size), 4-6 fun facts about yourself, and a song for you to be intro'd to by Wednesday, June 29.
· Invite your friends. Put that social network of yours to work and get your friends out to the event! They will help raise bids, give you catcalls and show support. Even if they don't have the pockets to bid, they're supporting by attending. More friends = more fun.
· Show up to the event (a little early) and be auctioned off. Just show up (with a good attitude!), ready to have a blast. These events are fun for everyone, we promise!
· Why are we doing this? One Love Generation, of course! OLG is a 501c3 non-profit organization empowering youth to inspire positive social change through art, service and awareness. The program matches teen artists with professional art mentors to create studio art projects focusing on specific environmental, socio-economical or philanthropic issues.
