Michael "Bao" Huynh's latest venture is a slightly below ground and flower-filled backyard beer garden, except instead of German suds, Bia (which means beer in Vietnamese and also kind of sounds like "beer" if you have a Boston accent) will be serving Asian brews ($4 per) and small, medium and large BBQ dishes, like crispy whole sole, sambal garlic frog and seared cuttlefish, all in the $2 to $18 range. To access the beer garden, walk through the teensy interior (a take-out counter and a 10-person eating area plastered with kitchy beer art), and take a seat outside—then order beers by the bottle or can, or by the six- or 24-pack. There's space for 50 in the garden, which can (yay!) be safely covered in case of rain.
