What this Eden lacks in fig-leaf-clad patrons and trees of knowledge, it more than makes up for in its stunning skyline view. Once the rooftop lounge of the China Club and now a sister bar to downstairs neighbor Opera, Eden delivers a fine antidote to nearby Times Square and a long workday in Midtown: a spacious outdoor lounge, a blur of whites and pastels dotted with greenery, and, most importantly, two full bars offering more temptation than any lousy biblical apple. Thursdays in the summer feature free massages, and (surrounded by nothing but open air), you're free to smoke. Eden loses a bit of cache during the winter, when it's still open but merely tented.
