Once a members-only salon with a questionable reputation, this comfortable neighborhood hang with the unmarked facade draws neighborhood folks with cheap drinks and tasty bar snacks like plantain chips and cheese puffs. The decor is a charmingly haphazard mixture of vintage kitsch: bar stools lifted from a 1970s elementary school, subway station tiles fixed to the walls, and giant chalkboards on the walls of the bathroom to provide you with an easy-to-handle outlet for your graffiti fix.
