You gotta love a spot whose catch phrase is "sandwiches, soups and whiskey." The spirits selection is mostly from the good old USA, so expect some top quality bourbon, straight from Kentucky. The décor of the bar is made for brown spirits—the dark wood beams that line the walls look like they could have been taken straight from a bourbon barrel. There are plenty of stools on the black-and-white-patterned floor, and a selection of tables. Like The Commodore, this drink spot offers some quality selections in the bar-grub department. Check out the pulled pork sandwich, available on a platter with deviled eggs and pickles. Oysters are also served up, and they pair well with the selection of craft beers. Since you can't mail a letter here, ask yourself: Do you think this bar is named after the USPS, or after Charles Bukowski's semi-autobiographical novel about an alcoholic mailman?
