Sky Room
If you're in this area of Midtown, you'll want to be 34 floors above ground. That way, you don't have to deal with the weirdos who congregate around Port Authority. Posh rooftop haunt The Sky Room elevates the area's drinking options with their two-story digs. Located in the Fairfield Inn and Suites, this sky-high offering has five different zones where you can chill and scope out the views of the city skyline and Hudson River. The North Terrace comes equipped with a retractable roof that provides a hideaway in the rain, and the South Terrace has plenty of private cabanas if you're looking for a nook to call your own (just be prepared to spend a little extra). Trivia alert: This is actually the highest rooftop lounge in NYC. Use this bit of knowledge to impress your friends or to annoy random strangers.
