The Anchor

Created by a publicist and a couple of designers, this spot has attracted a bevy of famous folks—from Johnny Knoxville to Lindsay Lohan (really? she goes out?) to Jigga himself, Jay-Z. The décor blends a rustic nautical vibe with a stately one, evident by the presidential wallpaper and smattering of chandeliers. Despite the hype (and high-profile clientele), there’s no officious door policy or requisite bottle service and there’s even a patio out back. So far, the long list of specialty shots and cocktails have been a hit with patrons who get a kick out of the fact that the monikers are grubbed from the owners' famous friends like "Bijou’s Crack"—a shot of  vodka rimmed with sugar and coffee grinds.
