With an unsettling number of LES live music joints being shut down to make room for the development of glass condos, this relative newbie is thankfully staying afloat. Packed with happy hipsters, the Annex plays host to scores of (mostly indie) acts, many of which are surrounded by major buzz (Silversun Pickups, anyone?) The space is dark and narrow, with a small balcony overlooking the action.
