If you read the tabloids, you may have heard this spot garnered its early reputation due to rumors of a celeb-soaked clientele and its recent reputation due to an untimely authoritative raid. A cabaret and “secret show” space decorated with padded armchairs, jewel-encrusted chandeliers and a finely-waxed parquet floor, the joint has some serious showbiz pedigree (it's run by Oscar Hammerstein's grandson) and is an homage to the days when glamorous, authentic dinner theater (not the Palm Beach kind), circus acts and exceptional performances ruled and patrons dined and drank in style.
