The Dove Parlour
- Neighborhood: West Village

- New York, NY 10012

Dark and moody, elegant and anachronistic, Dove Parlour is the bar most likely to make you afraid you're going to accidentally break something. Not that it's littered with carefully placed artifacts, but a dive bar this is most certainly not. The luxurious Victorian-inspired space is adorned with plush couches, striking red velvet wallpaper and a fireplace filled with candles, all designed to replicate a vintage New York City brownstone parlor room. The drinks—including signature martinis, 20 different wines, 10 beers on tap and French absinthe—thankfully don't come at a premium, and a happy hour between 4-8 p.m. cuts the prices further. It's little wonder local publications regularly proclaim Dove Parlour to be the city's "most romantic bar."
