A destination for singer songwriters and rock bands going acoustic, the Lower East Side’s Living Room was a launching pad for Norah Jones (before she outgrew the space for Radio City) and still remains a focal point for the city’s long-strong folk movement. An upstairs lounge serves as a relaxed setting the hang between sets and now hosts its own slate of shows under the name Googies.
