This bar isn't like any other in New York, unless you know of another drink spot that has themed itself after the steampunk movement. In case you're not a sci-fi fan or comic book aficionado, this genre bases itself around the Victorian Era, but with really high-tech gadgets powered by steam. While you won't find any 1800's throwback gizmos in this shop, you will find drinks like the Way Station, a mix of absinthe, Cointreau and lime (the wormwood helps sell the décor). There's a fake police box in the corner—don't worry, no one is going to come out and arrest you if you've had one too many. If you've been longing to wear that bowler hat or hoop skirt out on the town - you'll find a welcoming crowd here.
