Hidden amongst midtown corporate professional joints and take-out delis, this downstairs bar will only tolerate your indoor voice (the better to appreciate the magic fingers of the pianist up front). Settle yourself into one of the lounge sofas with your own bottle, if you wish, (they are more than happy to serve what they sell) along with a steamy bowl of edamame. Enjoy the escape from NYC's hustle and bustle until the wee hours--but don't tell anyone.
