Bourbon & Bluegrass

The neighborhood newcomer knows how to make a good impression: Ellis, the fresh-faced and comfy Southern-leaning barstaurant in south Park Slope now serves up bourbon, gratis, to complement the live bluegrass sessions, also gratis, going down every Monday. Soak it all up with some grilled chipotle-marinated chicken wings or shrimp, corn meal-crusted catfish with blueberry salsa or Navajo fry bread pizza with sundried tomato pesto, sunflower kernels and parmesan cheese. Not too shabby for their first try.
