Every Tuesday is Chess Knight (ha) of Champions at Sputnik bar in Brooklyn, where you can get drunk while getting brainy and battling strangers. Put on your drinking cap for Sputnik's happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. (well drinks and draughts are $3), and then put on your thinking cap at 8 p.m. when the chess night sign-up starts.
