Metro 53
- Neighborhood: Midtown East
- 307 E 53rd St.
- New York, NY 10022
- 212-838-0007
- Price range: $$ ($9-$15)
In the sea of after-work sports-bars that is mid-town, Metro-53 offers all the flat-screens, bridge-and-tunnelers catching the last 3 a.m. train and the signature purger in either restroom you would expect (and possibly even demand) from a neighborhood bar. Blaring the hits you won't admit are actually on your iPod (Living on a Prayer anyone?), while serving the salty bar-food that cannot exist without its Corona counterpart, you'll always leave this lively spot full, buzzed and with your all-time favorite 90's song playing over and over and over in your head.
