The spacious German beer garden—a welcome addition to a neighborhood that's been woefully lacking in decent drinking options—is airy and sunny, with an interesting mix of modern details, like bright red bar stools and a snappy black-and-white color scheme, and old-fashioned accents, like heavy and elaborately painted vintage pewter mugs, vintage German beer signs and old wooden barrels.
They're serving 18 tasty German brews on tap, like Gösser and Hofbräu Original, as well as 20 more in bottles. The food menu is currently heavy on the cured meats, cheeses and pretzels, but once the kitchen is in full swing, which should be later this summer (or early this fall), expect hot sausages, schnitzel and buttery, melty Teutonic grub.
