Studio Square
A staggeringly vast 18,000-square-foot beer garden serving German/American grub from the grill (like bratwurst, black angus hamburgers, chicken kabobs and pulled-pork sandwiches) alongside 15 craft beers on tap (including German favorites like Franziskaner and Spaten, as well as local brews, wines, spirits and homemade sangria), Studio Square (also called S Squared) is a very welcome Long Island City addition. The outdoor area features a slew of picnic benches, lush greenery, a cobblestone courtyard and iron fire pits, while the indoor section offers a more industrial-stylish look, with exposed walls, African Wenge wood bar-tops and graffiti murals. Look for live music and movie nights throughout the year.

Places to Check out in Long Island CIty
LIC seems like the place to be these days as more and more restaurants and bars pop up there. I just spent the day there this weekend and here are my favorites.
