Jimmy's has the best staff going

We went for the beer and it was great, but the staff was so pleasant and helpful in telling us about the beer and apps that we really enjoyed our two hour stay! Great ambiance in an eclectic neighborhood. Worth the effort to find it. We'll be back to Jimmy's next time we are in the City!

One of My Favorite Places

Jimmy's #43 is one of my favorite places to enjoy a tasty meal. The beer selection is excellent, and not the things you'll find on tap everywhere else; there's always enough diversity that there will be at least three I'll try in a sitting. The food is excellent, and pairs well with their beers; the servers are very friendly and can assist with your choices. I hosted an informal board meeting here, and even the vegetarians said that the food was enticing, even the sausage appetizer.

An East Village Jewel!

Rocking food - fresh and market with a wildly original and reasonably priced wine & beer list. This is a place I have returned to over and over again - I love the staff and my friends (whether local or guests) always return as well! It is a a true find and my favorite place in the East Village - sexy, cozy and always fun.

Delicious!

There are so many things that I love about Jimmy's No. 43. First, there's the great beer selection- each one better than the last. Second, there's the knowledgeable staff who are friendly and can always recommend something if you are not sure what you want. Third, Jimmy's No. 43 boasts a local, organic and seasonal menu, although some things are constant like the skillet fried beer sausages. They are like meat candy! The food pairs wonderfully with the beers, like the toasted walnuts or the pulled pork. I always leave feeling satisfied. If that weren't enough, the clientele that flocks to Jimmy's is as friendly as the staff. Perhaps the warm, underground feel allows fellow beer lovers to chat freely with one another? I don't know. I do know that there are few places that I would even consider popping in to have a drink by myself but Jimmy's is definitely one of them. Every time I go I find good company, great food and and a new beer to try!

great place to hang out

Jimmy's is welcoming and laid back. The beer selection is really interesting, definitely something for everyone. The food is great- I've had terrific dinners there, and also had a great time snacking on small plates and drinking with friends. One small correction to the metromix info- they do not have a full bar, it's beer and wine only, which in my opinion is another plus- it keeps the riff raff out!

the japanese word "izakaya" - pub with food and drink, good for friends - fitingly describes jimmy's no 43.
