Dimpled black half-moon banquettes burnish under tasseled wall sconces and red-light hanging lamps, while bar-goers enjoy specialty cocktails and small plates, including portobello-and-goat-cheese sliders and a phenomenal challah grilled cheese sandwich—all served in charming but anachronistic clam-shack style paper baskets. Weekly burlesque dancers fit neatly into the glittery and teensy stage at the back of the bar, where they entertain a mixed and happy crowd of neighborhooders.
