Let’s face it: it ain’t easy being a smoker these days. Judged, shunned, lectured—and those are only a few of the social reactions smokers have to bear. Luckily, legendary tobacconist Nat Sherman feels the plight of the contemprary tobacoo enthusiast and has set up a private den of sorts catering to those itching to smoke in peace. Located below Sherman retail headquarters, the space is equipped with a full bar, a gaping walk-in humidor and an appealing menu of diverse small plates and snacks hailing from classic New York outposts (Russ & Daughters, Balthazar, Murray’s Cheese, Yonah Schimmel knishes, and more).  The tobacco, of course, is top-of-the-line and while you’ll have to be an actual member eventually, the Club Room is offering trial memberships: $25 for a one-day pass and $200 for a 10-day pass.
