Aura
Spacious and colorful, if not a tad generic, this Flatiron club features all the usual suspects: richly painted walls, overhead red lights, suede banquets and a highly conspicuous VIP balcony. The youngish crowd is of the promoted party variety, who don’t mind coughing up $20 to get inside. DJs spin house on the main floor, and hip-hop, reggae and funk in the basement. Expect the usual fanfare that comes with the territory: lines, clipboards, lists and highly serious door folks.
