Stereo (Closed)
Between faux fill-ins by renowned graffiti artist Ces and boom-box imagery, this new-school spot with an old-school vibe is an homage of sorts to the city’s hip hop culture of the late '70s and early '80s. Think Run DMC, "Breakin," and other bold era-definers. DJs spin cool classic dance tracks and the bar serves up aptly-named specialty drinks such as LL Cool Aid, Run DMC Runner and Pop Rocks. Unfortunately, the occasional celeb showing, the tad-too-sceney clientele and an annoying door policy brings us right back to the present.
