The outrageous new circus-themed restaurant/bar/club combo above Bowlmor Lanes (and replacing Pressure) is called Carnival, and it's doing its best to live up to the name: It kicked off its tenure at 110 University Place with a bash thrown by the clown queen herself, Paris Hilton, and while the space hosts G-rated games and carnival-esque fun during the day, when the sun sets the games and goods become decidedly more X-rated, with sex toys, bottle service and a dance floor. Crazy! Like, literally a little insane, possibly!
Also, in addition to a cocktail menu featuring the Blue Cotton Candy Martini ($14) and something enchantingly vile called the Dunk Tank (a $70 two-gallon cauldron of vodka, rum, gin and fruit juice served in a "you just got tanked" keepsake glass, ay ay ay), Carnival's serving beer, wine and a long menu of bar snacks—sliders, nachos, burgers and the like. We'd make a joke about throwing up, but certainly you've already crafted your own by now.
