The waspy golf-and-tennis vibe at The Country Club extends as far as the mahogany siding, the chandeliers, the popped collars and the striped couches, then stops suddenly with the duct-tape-sized white "tennis skirts" on the comely cocktail waitresses, their bare midriffs and the big beats (beats--we said beats) coming from the DJ booth towering over the dance floor. Bar snacks like Truffled Grilled Cheese compliment a staggeringly long bellini menu (orange cardamom, Bordeaux, roasted pear and 12 more)--all of which can be enjoyed in the velvet-roped VIP area, too. With nary a white-haired, sweater-vested, bird-watching, croquet-playing, emotion-suppressing retiree to be found.
