Not the chill happy hour scene I was expecting, but was pleasantly surprised. The DJ was pretty great and the crowd was there to party. So I'd say, check it out if you are looking for a rooftop party. Stay home if you are just looking for a beer.
Report This ReviewWhere to start? The music (during happy hour, mind you) was so loud you had to shout at the person next to you. There is a $50 (!) minimum to start a tab. And worst of all, the drinks suck. The daiquiries are so sweet they are undrinkable. The mojitos don't even taste like mojitos. We were afraid to even try the sangria. After 3 drinks each, we were so fed up that we forfeited the remaining amount to get us to $50 on our tab just so we could leave. It's a great space with a clear tent to keep out the rain while maintaining the view, but even with a 2-for-1 happy hour, it's still not worth it. When we left, there were people waiting in line behind velvet ropes to get in and for the life of me, I can't figure out why. I will not be back.
Report This ReviewThanks for the brunch tip, I will definitely have to check that out. As for their grand opening, I was surfing through Going.com and came across their event. Apparently they have specials going on all week including a free drink if you rsvp@hudsonterracenyc.com. I'm sure their website has more details or you can look it up on Going.com.
Report This ReviewSo I attended brunch at Hudson Terrace this past weekend and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great as was the food. The crowd was young and chill and ready for the summer weather. I loved being able to enjoy the sun out on the patio with a sangria in hand! It was a bit crowded and warm, I hope they adjust the surroundings, add some shaded areas to accommodate the impending summer, but who can control the sun? I still dug the vibe.
The food spread ranged from omelettes, to french toast, to fresh smoked salmon. I'd recommend the oven roasted potatoes!
They also mentioned that they are having their grand opening on Cinco de Mayo....anybody have info on that? I'd check it out to see how the place functions as a bar/lounge.
I kept hearing about this venue and was thrilled to find out our company spring kick off party was going to be here and finally had a chance to check it out at , I couldn't believe how big the venue place was and the view of the hudson was incredible. There's a private garden on the second floor, and comfy cabanas on the rooftop Great bar staff (and even better drinks) can't wait to come back !
Report This Reviewwe had our spring fling event at Hudson Terrace and the place is the most beautiful rooftop we have ever used in manahattan I cant wait till it opens so i can bring my girlfriends.
For the first time even the President of my company stayed for the entire event lounging on the Cabana's the have set up./ It was a cool night and all the cabanas and the entire roof was heated.
class act
This place was super classy. We had our opening night party here with some pretty intense industry people and everyone was impressed! The rooftop offers some great views of the Hudson with the Intrepid as a kind neighbor. The staff was dead set on making our party what WE wanted and provided the best of service. I hear that it will be opening to the public in May so I am interested and excited to see this venue become a staple in NY nightlife because I'll be there! It's definitely higher class than a lot of bars/lounges on the Lower East Side. So if you want something new and different, I'd recommend!
