Provocateur

Imagine you had a glamorous and kooky aunt—freakishly rich, totally nuts and a party monster—and that's kind of what Provocateur, the split-personality nightclub now residing in the former Garden of Ono, reminds us of. Gorgeous, zany, eclectic and decidedly female, Provocateur's brought to you by the fellows behind Lily Pond in East Hampton, and she's decked to the nines with Hamptons-channeling banquettes, a retractable glass roof, lush drapes and a tricked-out sound system. There's two mini-venues within, too—a lounge and a club. The former is filled with fur-upholstered swings, rare trees and eclectic art, while the latter is outfitted with black chandeliers, a lace-crusted DJ booth and a pair of feathery phoenix wings. There will, of course, be bottle service, but small plates from neighboring Tanuki tavern and skin-care-infused cocktails (for real) are also in the works.
