The folks behind the indie-rock and leisure-sport-obsessed Union Hall and Floyd have bridged the gap between Park Slope and Carroll Gardens with their latest venture—a handsome, 300-person space that's a music and party spot first, bar second. The front lounge looks like Union Hall, with the same wallpapered "Royal Tenenbaums" vibe, plus a bar offering seasonal beers and decent cocktails, but it's the airy main space that draws crowds to a ratty block on the Gowanus: The owners have taken great pains to fine-tune the sound system and sightlines so the acoustics more resemble a cozy bedroom than a concrete warehouse, and the low-slung stage is spacious, given the room size, meaning there's really not a bad seat in the house.
