Tailor | Absinthe Gummi Bears

Except for pinches of sugar and starch, these little green gummi friends (currently served with espresso, but soon to be garnishing dishes) are made of pure absinthe, which in this case is La Fee. Although the subtle anise and sugar flavors packed into each bear are surprising, it's hard to stop at just one. In other words, chef and owner Sam Mason, who handcrafts each gummi, has gotten a boatload of requests from patrons looking to purchase them by the bagful. Unfortunately (or fortunately for the livers of curious children?) the treat is served solely at Tailor. For now.

Verdict: 5 stars. A perfect score for the playful presentation and palate-cleansing capabilities of this tiny, tasty treat.
