68 Jay St. Bar

At 68 Jay Street, a narrow neighborhood bar with tightly vaulted ceilings and a pleasantly drowsy atmosphere, a girl with a guitar and a fellow on keyboard sang folksy rock while patrons either ignored them in the friendliest way possible or stared at them and smiled vacantly. The crowd ran from cute, artsy/literary types to shaggy locals, but everyone seemed happy and a little sloppy. (Probably because they weren't paying attention to the tiny jolts of horror sprinkled along the bar's walls...)
