The waitress told us we had accidentally taken a seat in the area reserved for eaters. After we apologized and prepared to move, the waitress said, not unkindly, "Whatever, it's fine. Just pick up your glasses when you leave so I don't have to."

Bottom line: A mix of sleepy, gaping, artsy and homey. Somehow both unimpeachably nice yet largely unappealing. Maybe it's a little too big. But it's only Wednesday...
