We hadn't really planned to make the Tribeca Grand part of our tour, but felt something highly swanky was needed after our last stop.

One thing that's always charming about the hotel's lobby bar Church Lounge is that while it's clearly upscale, it's unintimidating and quite comfortable. After being asked by the hostess if we were there to eat, drink or "just look around," we walked in and settled on soft leather banquettes and took a second to check out the stunning tiered view above. We guess that's what she meant by "look around."
