Creek Water Bucket | Southern Hospitality
Emulating the murky waters of a Southern bayou, this 32-ounce bucket of sweet tea, Bacardi Limon rum and 15 gummy worms more accurately resembles a Long Island Iced Tea (albeit one that’s actually made with iced tea). The tea's sweetness masks the rum’s alcoholic bite, while the Bacardi’s lemony tang provides a backbone to the drink’s otherwise watery consistency. True, there are more inspired ways to incorporate candy into a cocktail than simply chucking them in, but one aspect of this gargantuan drink (served with 8 neon-colored jumbo straws to serve 4 or more…or less) appeals to a more collegiate interpretation of All Hallows Eve: getting trashed. At least you can satisfy both the kid and co-ed in you by eating the booze-soaked gummy worms that sink to the bottom—if you manage to get that far. ($25)
Candy credibility: 2 stars (out of five). The brightly colored straws and rubbery gummy worms might be festive, but they don’t conceal what this drink is truly about: a fratastic approach to getting hammered.
