Brought to you by St. John Frizell, formerly of Pegu Club and always a food writer, Fort Defiance is a cute and cozy bar and café on Van Brunt Street's laid-back main drag. And now that it's legally strapped with booze (after a brief struggle with the liquor licence acquisition), look for old-school cocktails to go with your muffuletta, banh mi (hm!), salads and small plates. Eclectic! Just one more little temptation to change our entire lives around and move to Red Hook.
