Summit Bar
Just added!
The man responsible for the booze menu at Minetta Tavern, Greg Seider, has lent his expertise to another venture—Summit Bar, currently classing up the notoriously slovenly Avenue C. Summit's a handsome, cocktail-centric spot, done up in exposed brick, black furniture and simple but elegant lighting and décor. The drink list is split into $9 "classic" and $12 "alchemist" cocktails (like the Grandma's Coming to Town, made with yamazaki 12-year whiskey, toasted cardamom, infused agave, Japanese yuzu and fresh orange juice), depending on how fussy you're feeling. On the food side there's a handful of $5 charcuterie plates, cheeses and small, cocktail-friendly bites. An outdoor garden is also in the works.
