Two Boots | Super Cajun Bloody Mary
Just as this homey barstaurant's Cajun-Italian menu pays homage to the twin boots of Italy and Louisiana, so too does its unique take on the Bloody Mary. What sets it apart? Bigger glass (a 16-ounce boot!), better vodka (Absolut Peppar, for a zesty kick) and quirky garnishes (like caper berries, frequently used in Mediterranean cooking, and pickled okra, which is equally as big in the South). You can also taste the difference in the house-made Bloody Mary mix—a pulpy, textured blend with a peppery flavor that’s spicy the whole way through. ($8)
Burn degree: 2nd
Hot stuff? 4 stars. Full-bodied and smooth with a fresh veggie taste. The clean tomato flavor mellows the pepper, making for one well-rounded drink. Those with pulp problems might be averse, but at 50 cents an ounce, it's hard to complain.
