Old-timey booze, music and costumes on Governors Island
June 7, 2009
Hundreds of lovely ladies and dapper gents sported their Gatsby-esque best this weekend at the Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governors Island, hosted by Michael Arenella and his Dreamland Orchestra. Easing the transitions among the hat parade, the horesehoe-throwing and the endless dancing were buckets and buckets of summery cocktails, our favorite of which was something bubbly and ethereal made with St. Germain, prosecco and club soda. We tip our vintage summer bonnet to everyone in attendance—v. impressive.

They're doing it again September 12th and 13th, I believe!

I am so bummed I missed this! A friend went last year and loved it. Is it only once a summer?
