Nineteen world-renowned bartenders and booze wizards, including Dale DeGroff, Dave Wondrich and Audrey Saunders, landed at Pranna on Wednesday night to celebrate World Cocktail Day by mixing drinks for a couple hundred thirsty cocktail enthusiasts. Each bartender came up with two or three drinks off the cuff—from Brandy Rum Punches to Gin Smashes—while the crowd plucked seafood sausages, specialty naans and chicken satay skewers from the endless plates of passed hors d'oeuvres. Tickets cost $60, and proceeds went to the Museum of the American Cocktail—a national treasure and a great place to take the kids. Teach them young.
