Located at the penthouse level of the Dream Hotel and named after Sinatra's one (but not only) Ava Gardner, this somewhat retro and always glamorous lounge offers up a tasty menu—both to eat and drink. The appetizer list is split into two sections: "temperate" (including nori-wrapped tuna and bacon-avocado salad) and "hot"(Moroccan chicken bisteeya or beef tenderloin). To drink, expect a list of pricey classic and signature concoctions whose monikers are reminiscent of a swinging era when the cocktail was king (Gin and Sin, Perfect Manhattan, Jaded Lady). Especially packed with a professional, suited-up crowd clearly looking to mingle, but the panoramic view of Times Square, Columbus Circle and the Hudson River from the terrace make it worth checking out.
