Bar-goers and hotel guests can drink in comfy vintage luxury at the Jane Hotel & Ballroom's staggeringly pretty bi-level pub and parlor, both of which are outfitted in homey dark wood, beautifully upholstered yet mismatched couches and bar stools, potted plants and an eclectic collection of sketches and paintings hanging from the walls—plus a somewhat anomalous disco ball and taxidermy ram. And a taxidermy monkey in a fez, locked in a cabinet. Stay put, little monkey. Jane's drinks are heavy on the whiskey, like the specialty West Side, made with bourbon, amaro and honey liqueur ($12), but there's plenty of summery drinks, too, like the Prime Eight, made with hibiscus tequila. Monday is, for now, movie night, and Tuesday live music nights are in the works—and so is a potential outdoor area.
