Despite picturesque views of the United Nations and owner Donald Trump’s signature golden décor, World Bar doesn’t quite brim with glamorous international cache, partly because it can’t escape a hotel lobby vibe. But while the tame atmosphere and suited-up patrons are all business, the drinks are pretty damn posh. The over-the-top $50 World Cocktail, mixed with Rémy Martin XO, white grape and lemon juice and Veuve Clicquot is (for some reason) topped with liquefied gold. Instead, patrons may want to try the refreshing (regularly priced) La Dolce Vita, combined with Campari, Limoncello, Maraschino liqueur and Prosecco.
