McSorley's Old Ale House
- Neighborhood: East Village
- 15 E. 7th St.
- New York, NY 10003
- 212-473-9148
One of the oldest bars in the city (150 to be exact), this East Village institution has successfully resisted the area's insidious gentrification. Aside from letting the women in about three decades ago, everything else from the sawdust floors, to the constant crowds, to the two kinds of beer (McSorley's Light and McSorley's Dark) served in pairs stays the same.
