Alma Lounge is trying to fill an untapped niche in South Williamsburg: booty shaking. The area's got foodie temples (Fatty ‘Cue) and laid-back bars (The Woods), but it didn't have a drop-it-like-it's-hot bottle-service club. Until now. Alma caters to the late-night crowd who shy away from the hipster spots down the block. They've got rotating DJs spinning Latin and hip-hop, and an elevated VIP area if you want to shake it while looking down at the crowd. Let the Converse-clad smoke their Parliaments; the crowd in here is puffing away on the spot's signature hookahs, which are available for groups at the lounge's illuminated tables. Also available? Free bottles. The club will plunk down a gratis bottle of Goose for any group of five girls on weekend nights before midnight. They spin salsa beats on Mambo Thursdays, and Friday is ladies night. Sorry dudes, you can expect to pay around $10 cover.
