Comfortable and friendly with the drinks to match

Happy to see this place has a spot on the site. More people need to know about it. I came here with my girlfriend last week. Had never stepped foot inside before but I had always noticed it on my way home from work when there are packs of people sipping drinks and smoking cigarettes on the outdoor patio. We came in and took a seat at the bar. Immeditaly the bartender came over and eagerly helped us pick the perfect drink. I took the recommendation of a red wine and my girlfriend happily obliged when the bartender offered to make her a surprise drink off the cocktail list. The result was some delicious lemon and ginger with vodka concoction. I have to admit I wanted my own after sampling hers! The interior was the perfect balance of intimate and chic without ever venturing into pretention, and the staff was attentive, knowledgable, and just genuinely friendly.

I am very excited to be the first to review this fantastic *relatively* new edition to the East Village.

classing up the neighborhood, Blue Owl has excellent drinks, really cute bartenders,excellent drinks, a friendly non pretentious doorman, and did i mention the excellent drinks?

Really folks the cocktails are to die for. Which is exactly what I almost did after last Wednesday's all night Happy Hour as I was drunkenly climbing the stairs to exit.

I'm happy to say I lived to write the tale.
