Just south of Union Square, this aesthetically-pleasing cocktail lounge features a 50-foot curving mahogany bar that originally resided in the famous bar at the Astor Hotel, well-equipped with 200 brands of liquor, 15 single-malt scotches and a variety of beers on tap. After work, the vibe is relaxed and mature; but come late-night (especially on the weekend), blasting music makes it nearly impossible to hold any sort of conversation and the crowd morphs into a mixture of suit-and-tie types and college kids.
