Minibar is a small-scale model of the classic Brooklyn well: exposed brick, tin ceilings and affordable, unpretentious drinks. Seating in this aptly named drinkery is limited to seven small tables and six bar stools, and the disarmingly friendly staff gives the impression they've known you for years. Go on a weeknight when the subdued mood is perfect for a quiet drink (they make a killer Manhattan with rye) and seems appropriate to the miniature room—it's also conveniently located across the street from perenially wait-listing Frankies 457. Drinkwise there's something for everyone, with three rotating drafts, decent bottled beer and wine, and a spirits list specializing in bourbon and Scotch. Owner Jennifer McShane says, "We would stock more, but it won't fit."
