Around since 1967, this neighborhood pub existed way before the neighborhood was deemed "Tribeca" and—from the looks of it—has likely remained exactly the same since then. A dive in every sense of the word, it comes down to three things here: booze, ball and Shuffleboard. Yes, shuffleboard. It's the only bar in New York offering the mechanical version (bank shuffleboard) and folks gather for informal play all week, with tournaments most Saturday and Sunday nights. Drinks are cheap, with the priciest offerings topping out at $8 (cognac and scotch.) The beer selection is small and simple, with the usual suspects (Bud, Coors, Miller, Amstel) ranging from $4 - $4.50. The predictable pub grub menu is decent, and includes $2.50 individual pizzas. On Saturdays during football season, the place gets crowded with folks looking to take advantage of the $15 two-burger-and-pitcher special.
