Ontario Bar
The owners of Brooklyn drinking staples Boat, Buttermilk and Great Lakes expand their comfy neighborhood bar empire to Williamsburg with Ontario. And, like its siblings, it's a relaxed and unpretentious spot—about a pleasant four on the dive scale (one being antiseptic, 10 being unvisitable)—with Christmas lights on the walls, exposed brick and a dash of taxidermy. It's long and flatteringly dim, with a handful of local brews on tap and plenty of untreated wood (sort of Canadian-rustic?). And if we had to say which of the other bars it reminded us of most, that'd be a really clean hybrid of Boat and Buttermilk... And Great Lakes. Well, as they say, if it ain't broke, make another bar exactly like it.
