The dimly lit Sparrow is either the place you escape to after a crammed summer night at the not-too-far Beer Garden or the place you go to because you're an Astoria hipster imported from another place and time. With carefully selected random items contributing to the decor (note the one ultra-funky light pendant and the rope-wrapped column), The Sparrow succeeds in exhibiting cool carelessly, while serving hip bar food alongside reasonably priced drinks.
