Trophy Bar
Born in 2007, this entrant to the growing South Williamsburg Broadway scene, tucked right beneath the JMZ line, never sought to act its age. Trophy Bar sports an interior of exposed brick with subway tiles adorning the wall behind the bar itself (where you’ll also find their antique eponymous trophies), black leather booths and a conversation-piece chandelier composed of vintage gramophone horns. Trophy certainly doesn’t sound its age, either, with a stocked 1950s-era jukebox spinning rock and soul 45s from over the decades. But far from a total retro bar, the space sports a DJ booth, too, with regularly scheduled nights that turn the calendar to the present. The bar, owned by the trio behind the nearby Stay Gold Gallery, extends into a comfortable space outside that doubles as a beer (and sculpture) garden and a destination for smokers. Wash the night down with a selection of eight tap beers and Trophy's signature cocktails.
